AL003 High Availability Virtual Machines with XEN & Linux HA Clustering

  Course Code:   AL003
Duration:   3 Days Pricing :   25,700 Baht (VAT Included)
  Course Description

Linux is in your data center, but it can do much more than being a low-cost server. It can also provide high available clustering and storage solutions, reliably protecting data and delivering services across your enterprise. In addition, it can also provide virtualization services allowing you to reduce your hardware costs by running virtualized machines when necessary. In this course, you will learn how to implement storage, clustering, and virtualization solutions on Enterprise Linux.

Course Audience

This course is ideal for experienced system administrators and system architects looking to implement virtualization and/or high availability clustering with Enterprise Linux.

Prerequisites Knowledge

You should have intermediate to advanced experience administering Enterprise Linux such as Red Hat or SUSE before attending this class. Having a skill set equivalent to RHCE or CLP is recommended.

Purpose

The objective of this course is to teach students enough about Enterprise Linux to successfully install, configure, and administer high availability clustering on Linux and virtual machines with Xen and Linux HA.

Goal

During this course, you will learn how to complete the following tasks:

  • Configure LVM, RAID, DRBD, iSCSI, EVMS and OCFS2 on Enterprise Linux to create a highly available SAN storage server
  • Access the SAN server through any iSCSI initiator
  • Set up Linux HA, Heartbeat2 a highly available cluster on Linux
  • Use Xen to set up, configure and migrates virtual machines
